First, go here:

★ Fill in your email address in the box at the top (if you are not sure if you already made an account, you can click the button at the right of the entry box to check if it is a duplication. 사용가능한 이메일 주소입니다. means "this email is okay to use").

You should get an email from daum. You should confirm it within 12 hours.

★ Check both of the boxes to agree to the terms and conditions for use and privacy.

★ Click the blue box at the bottom to go to the next step.

The next screen is to enter your basic personal information.

** If you want to change your daum ID, this is where and when you should do it. It will automatically default to the prefix of the email address you used. To change it, click on the box to the right of where it says Daum 아이다 (ID). You can click the button on the right to check if it is already in use. If it says "Daum 아이디 사용하실 수 있습니다." "Daum ID usage is possible" then it is OK!

Choose a password (at least 8 characters, letters or numbers are okay), type in your name (up to 30 english characters, or up to 15 hangeul characters), click either male or female, and then click the blue box to go to the next screen.

The next screen will say that your application is done and the email has been sent, please confirm it within 12 hours. Click the blue button for "finish," or if you have not gotten an email you can click the "re-send" button. You should get the email pretty much immediately.

* Check the email account you used and there should be a mail from daum.
* Click the link in the email and your account is ready to go. You will get this message which says your account has been approved.

If you click "okay" you will be redirected to the daum homepage, where you will be logged in to your new account.
